The Yorktown Roadrunners had a fantastic time at our Wilderness Trail Challenge at Mounds State Park on Saturday, July 24. We had 19 of the members who were able to make it.
We met at Marrow's Meadow at 10 a.m. and rode over to the Mounds together in a couple of passenger vans. When we arrived at the park we did some stretches and warm-ups and then completed our 2.5 mile trail run on the wooded, hilly course. Afterward, we stretched some more and walked over to the picnic area where there was a nice picnic lunch waiting on us. After eating we hung out at the park for a while then took some group pictures. We drove back returning to Yorktown at about 1 p.m. A great time was had by all.
